Jennifer Tilly was conceived in Los Angeles on 16 September 1958 in very poor circumstances. Her father worked in the automotive industry, whereas her mother taught school and was an unreliable actor. Jennifer was the second child from her extended family. She frequently accompanied her mother who worked as a teacher at school as well as a theatre teacher to shows. She found her very impressive. Jennifer's mother and father divorced at the age of five. Jennifer was brought up within British Columbia by her mother and moved in with her siblings. Jennifer was never the studious kind, even though it was true that she was a talented artist when she was a kid. As a child Jennifer was frequently the victim of bullying in schools across Canada. When her enthusiasm for theatre began to fade in high school she started taking part in shows together with her mom. She was the one who encouraged all her children to discover an appreciation for the arts. She then immediately started acting.
